Weight training makes me feel 100 years
I know this is silly but since I have started weight work the last few weeks I wonder if this is what it feels like to be 100. I usually feel fantastic without an ache or pain at almost 43 like most people. However since weight training I feel slightly sore 24/7.Doing weight work 3 x a week. I'd I know muscle will serve me well but please tell me it wont feel like I am 100 forever!!! I'm hoping getting strong will stop me from feeling 100 when I get there!

I'll get easier. Drink a protein shake after your workout with glutamine in it0

Your diet really makes a difference while weight training so be sure you are getting adequate protein (aim for 1g per lb of bodyweight, or at least 1g per pound of lean mass weight) and drinking lots of water. Also, on your rest days, get up and move! Walking, stretching, something to help move that lactic acid around. The first week is usually the worst when starting a new program as your muscles aren't used to all that tearing but in time they adjust and your pain levels won't be nearly as bad. I actually really enjoy DOMS now...although I know they are not an indicator of an amazing workout, they just make me feel like something is going on in there and all my hard work is not for nothing.0
