the p90x diet

I just started my 90 days of P90x lean. I am working on sticking to the diet. The first phase involves a lot of proteins. I am having a hard time following the diet, I have a lot of calories left after I work out and after I eat all required items on the diet. Anyone else with this problem? What should I eat to finish the rest of my calories? I have anywhere from 300-500 calories to eat. Should I make another protein shake?
