tips on digesting vitamin pills better

hey guys,

i take daily vitamins with one of my big meals. however afterwards my piss becomes lime green. i know it means that the excess vitamins are flushed out of my system.

is there a way for me to digest them better?

thanks

Not sure. I knew a guy that chewed his up before swallowing them, he said it made them absorb better than the stomach trying to break down a solid, compacted pill. The taste is HORRIBLE though unless your pills are flavored. I break my big daily ones in half to make it a bit easier on my tummy. :)

It's just your body's way of getting rid of what it has no use for at that time. I take Animal Pak, and my urine generally looks 'radioactive yellow' for the first two or three times I pee after taking it. In my case, it's caused by excess B vitamins in the supp.

All it means is that your body is working as intended.

I switched to a all natural vitamin with out the fillers. The brand is Vitamin code Raw and they make female and male vitamins. I've been on them for about 2 weeks and feel great.

    I like that they're organic.

Where possible, I prefer gel cap versions. But if you are excreting them, your body determined it didn't actually need them or, you are taking them in combinations that are ineffectual. For instance calcium needs vitamin D and fat I believe to be absorbed.
