This site says I need 2000 thousand calories to burn 2lbs a week with a very active life style. Other sites say my maintenance is 3000 and my deficit should be at 2500. I just assumed my numbers to be higher.

Eating that few calories with a very active lifestyle will probably make you drop weight a lot faster than 2lbs a week. If you are unsure though you might be better setting you activity level as none then tracking your actual activity that way you will get more accurate numbers0

Anything over a 300 calorie deficit i would be careful because you run the risk of burning muscle. You will lose weight yes, but you will feel like crap. I had to lose weight for wrestling. I went from about 195 to 171 in the course of 1 month and i lost most of my stregnth (i was pretty strong too before).0
