Being "cold"

This morning the scale said I'm 252. I have lost 30lbs. so far. I used to be warm all the time, even had hot flashes. (I'm 46).
Now, after only a 30lb. loss, I am cold so much more. Has anyone else had this happen?

Yes. I've only lost 20 pounds (155 to 135) and have found I am much more cold than before. I can't remember ever being so HOT as I was at my highest weight, leaving butt-sweat marks on plastic chairs even in jeans, but I can't recall being so COLD at previous times when I was this weight, either.

I may be low on iron or something.

I was FROZEN constantly. Had to add an extra blanket to the bed, wore thick pants and socks to sleep. It was bad.

    My iron levels were normal.

Once I bumped my calories from the 1200 range, I warmed up almost instantly. I guess I needed to fuel my furnace

Yes I have lost 87lbs and I just about freeze. Last summer I was wearing a sweatshirt to work and had a heater under my desk, because when the air conditioning was on it felt like I was in a freezer.

While I'm fee zing anytime there'd is a draft, I learned it's both my iron level and vitamin D that was off. It was well worth the trip to the doctor. I'm praying that age 50 I don't get the hot flashes!

Unfortunately you're going to have to get used to it...I've lost over 70lbs and am constantly cold.
