So I have heard the importance of eating breakfast, especially within an hour when you wake up because it jumpstarts your metabolism. I usually do this, but my busier days I get up in the morning and workout first. By the time I shower and everything, it's about 2 hrs later. Is it bad to eat breakfast this late?

I don't see a problem with that. You're exercising which is kick-starting your metabolism so essentially, it's the same thing. I do this when I work out in the mornings also. I've heard no later than 1 1/2 hours after you wake up. This morning I had a fitness assessment and couldn't really eat breakfast 'til I got to work (2 1/2 hours after I woke up) so I just brought some canteloupe and ate that right after my assessment and then ate the rest of my breakfast when I got to work. Hope that helps!0

Its better than not eating breakfast at all. I have heard differing theories on working out before breakfast, or if eating first is better. I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you are eating breakfast and getting enough nutrients.0

I never eat breakfast right away. I get up at 9.00am, work out, shower & get ready for work, go to work and then eat breakfast...at 11.300

It's not bad at all but you might notice better results if you just bumped that breakfast to your first part of the day Breakfast should also be your biggest meal of the day and lunch smaller and dinner smallest0

Try eating a protein bar like Luna as soon as you get up before working out. Then eat breakfast two to three hours after that bar. That would work!0

I am horrible about this...trying to get three kids out the door and in the car for an hour drive (hoping to get there on time) I don't have time to eat before I leave. So it is usually almost 9 before I do...and I get up between 5:30 and 6!!!0
