EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL

Has anyone noticed any advancement in their weight loss, workout by incorporating 100% pure coconut oil into their diets. Of all the many benefits I've read, I am curious to know from the MFP users if you've used it and whether it has worked for you, do you swear by it? How has it benefited you. Thanks for your response in advance!

    I use it a lot. I love it.
    Can't say I have noticed the effect on weight loss any more so than other oils, but it definitely makes me feel good when I eat either coconut oil or pure coconut meat. Great for ketogenic diets, because MCTs are readily turned into ketones I'm told :)
  • I use it, but I wouldn't swear by it. It's a tool I use to sustain my macros, I do 50-60% fat. I lost 10 pounds last month doing that, and working out, and counting calories, so was the coconut oil a part of that sure, but I don't know how much.

    Years ago I had an acquaintance tell me that her doctor told her to switch to coconut oil, because it was so good for her.

    Coconut oil is not a magic weight loss tool. But, it's a very healthy source of saturated fat, and is excellent for high heat cooking. I like the nutty, barely there flavor it lends to veggies. I also use it to season my cast iron pans after every use.
