relationship between exercise and weight loss

Last night I read three threads related to the role of exercise in weight loss. They are important contributions towards better understanding of the relationship between exercise and weight loss.

Weight loss and exercise, or in broader terms fitness, are two different issues. Posts about the relationship between the two are very important, as they help clearing misconceptions regarding the effect of exercise on weight loss.

We effectively help those who can’t lose weight by sharing that exercise is not necessary for weight loss.

Exercise is great for our physical health and state of mind, and for preventing weight gain in the first place, but it has a small effect on weight loss.

Physical activity (unless done vigorously like a professional athlete) is a minor component to the economy of weight loss. When it comes to shedding pounds, it is what we eat that counts most.

I do not advocate against exercise. I started running after I began my weight loss journey and fell in love with it. I have been running since and running changed my life.

Exercise has a small effect on weight loss. I lost 91 pounds by changing what I eat. Weight loss can be achieved without exercise.
