What does bump mean?

Some folks reply "bump"... what does that mean?

Are there any other "code" words that I should be aware of?

    When people are posting fast and furious, threads can end up buried, so when people see a post they'd like to read in a bit, or one that they think is important, they'll reply with a 'bump'. The reply moves it to the top of the pile again, and puts it into the much shorter list of threads they can access by clicking on 'my topics'.
