Princeton researchers: HFCS prompts considerably more weight

A Princeton University research team has demonstrated that all sweeteners are not equal when it comes to weight gain: Rats with access to high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) gained significantly more weight than those with access to table sugar, even when their overall caloric intake was the same.

    Actually table sugar is just as bad...it's actually the ammount of fructose that is the problem.

    It's a little long (~90 min) but it is time WELL spent. Dr Lustig does a good job of explaining the biology of what happens, and why it is a poison!

    I am totally forwarding this to my son. He believes that the corn industry is "evil" and refuses to eat anything with HFCS in it. :laugh:

    When he was younger we were a sugar free family. Now I am the only one...I am happy that he feels this way!:heart:

    HFCS is in EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! I try to avoid it as much as possible.
