If I eat 1200 kcal a day, 3-4 meals. Today I had 500 kcal for breakfast. Does it really matter if I eat 4 smaller meals or 2 big meals. Since I eat 1200 kcal?

Nope. Meal size and frequency throughout the day doesn't matter, so long as you don't do something that results in you eating more later in the day, and going over on calories.0

Not answering the question, but it's interesting how we look at timing food to fit a target for a day.
In reality a day is an arbitrary time unit for a breakdown of calories, in theory we could split it into seconds, minutes, hours, weeks, months of even years. The body doesn't process what we put in it by checking every 24 hours and then adding or dropping weight, it's constantly changing and doing this, so in reality our arbitrary time periods are just making it easy for us to maintain an average amount of energy (and nutrients etc..) in and out, in blocks of time.0
