NERVOUS!! HELP!

My dietitian recently had me bring up my calories from 1200 to 1400 to 1600. I've had tests taken, my RMR is 1480 calories. With my excercise I should be eating 1600 calories. So...I should be eating right! YAY!
But...the past 2 weeks I have gained 3 lbs and gained a 1/2 inch around my waste! What is going on? Is this normal?
How long should it take me to start losing again?
I so scared! eep!

Here's an old post that explains the gaining while coming out of starvation mode. It's a long post, but has good info.

I'm currently in the process of inching up my calories, and it's hard to keep the faith. We're so brainwashed into dieting = hungry all the time/starving, but it's not necessary, or healthy to restrict our bodies that much.0
