What guilt-free alcohol do you drink at a night club?

When i have to go out, i always opt for a vodka soda water. I'm sick of it, it's so boring. What 'healthier' options do you go for- apart from water?

All alcohol is guilt-free. That's what alcohol is about.

Well, it's not healthy, but for lower calories if I'm out and drinking to get drunk, I go for vodka and diet coke, or vodka and slimline tonic or gin and slimline tonic. If I'm in, and drinking more for the taste of it, or just to have one drink, I usually have a glass of red wine (which is slightly healthy with its micronutrients and everything )

    hahaha so true !
  • Sorry, i know its not healthy, but i meant out of all the sugary alternatives, which is 'healthier'.
    thanks all for ya input!
  • I drink strong IPAs, they are around 250-300 calories but are also between 9-11.5% alcohol I can't drink too many do to health reasons and meds so 3 is usually my upper limit, but 3 at 11.5% is like drinking a 6 pack of bud (a little bit more actually) and they taste better to me anyway. I know IPAs aren't for everyone but they work for me

If I'm not drinking beer then it's Jameson or Jim Beam Black

Bourbon and water on the rocks. With a lime if I'm feeling festive.

usually a light beer is good...about 150 cals or so on average. a shot of crown is something like 60 cals, so mix that with some diet soda and you're good to go. stay far far away from sugary mixed drinks like long islands and margaritas...yikes those can get scary quick

Thanks so much for this link. Lately I have been drinking the Parrot Bay Frozen Pina Colada which is 335 calories. I have 1 a week or every other week. I love Kahlua but never knew it rated an F. I guess I will be making better choices when I do have a drink.

I'm usually a vodka soda girl too but it does get boring. Lately I've been getting tequila (white/silver) with a *tiny* bit of grapefruit juice and soda, with a squeeze of lime. Really good!

Also, whiskey or rye (something like a manhattan) is good because it's a bit stronger and forces me to sip on it, rather than just throwing it back.

I looked online and it seems like all distilled spirits are gluten free, but most (such as seagrsm's) have a gluten free disclaimer, because no company can actually certify anything they sell is 100% gluten free. But I think any spirit would be your best bet if you want to get your drink on. Vodka water/soda and lime has the lowest calories out of anything I've seen. 69-100 calories, depending on the pour.

You're welcome! Yeah, I totally didn't know what damage I was doing before that website. It really puts things into prospective.
  • I usually just sip on one glass of red wine throughout the night. The key is moderation.
And the added health benefits cancel out the guilt!
