Hello all!
I am brand new to this site, and I just wanted to introduce myself. Also, I wanted to offer any support to those going through something similar that I did.
I grew up feeling sicker and sicker throughout my elementary years. Once I hit 6th grade, it was pretty much down hill from there. By 7th grade, I ended up with diagnoses of: Fibromyaglia, IBS, Rheynauds Phenomenon, Migraines, Sculeosis, Chronic UTIs and Sinusitis (literally every 6 weeks) that led to yeast infections, and finally a problem from my flat feet that caused by hips and knees to slide out of place a little. I was in a strict Christian school from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm due to my parent's work schedules. I was also a cheerleader, and I had 12 class's homework to keep up with once I got home. Add in weekly trips to physicial therapist, chiropractor, massage therapist, UNC and Duke specialists, and it did not end up well. I finally was on about 11 pills a day, you know--pills to counteract side effects from other pills' side effects from other pills. It led to me dropping out of my school that I had attended since K-5, in the middle of my 8th grade year.
It was extremely hard. My friends all denied me, no one understood what I was going through, and I was becoming sicker by the day. On top of that, my dad was given 6 months to live when they found major heart problems at the age of 40, but to make ends meet he worked a 70 hour a week job in road paving still. My parents tried all they could, but finally I was able to go to a holistic doctor. She helped save my life. I was put on the "Elimanation Diet" and within 5 months I had no more infections, was off all medicines, lost 20 pounds, could run for the first time since my young elementary age, and I was back on track with school work by homeschooling myself. Eventually, it didn't cure all my problems like constipation, (sorry TMI), but it gave me my life back. I did end up getting off of the diet unfortunately, and it makes me pay for it. You know how it is--you feel SO good finally, that you kinda forget it all? Over time, EVERYTHING does come back. However, I am committed to keeping my body fully in check from 2013 on out.
I eventually was able to graduate high school a year early than my original class, got married at 17 after my husband joined the Coast Guard, and I am now persuing my Master's in Psychiatric Nursing and also a Bachelor's in Psychology. My dream is to become a counselor to the 27 million slaves that are in our world today. I would especially like to focus on the 100,000-300,000 sex slaves that are brought to and from America every year!
I am living proof that you can overcome it ALL. I do not even have ANY of those diseases on my current medical history anymore!! My doctor's consider me "miraculously healed."
If I was going to give any tips it would be this: Get on probiotics RIGHT NOW. Believe in God's healing powers. And don't let claims of diseases and sicknesses overtake your health!!
My husband and I have a HUGE year planned ahead, and I want to be as healthy as possible!! I look forward to learning from and supporting you all!! You can follow my blog at Http://ButAlwaysBlessed.Blogspot.com
Thank You!!
