Morning All,
After doing what i call a vast sum of cycling on saturday and sunday, I was well under eating back my exercise calories.
check my diary for saturday sunday and see what I mean, even managed to fit a sneaky Harvester in.
Is this good or bad? I just didnt want to eat vast amounts of food on sunday :ohwell:

If you look on my Saturday, you'll see I was the same. I just kept eating though. I was REALLY hungry. But then I got too tired to be hungry and ditched evening snacks.
It is good that you've burned that many, and no it's a matter of opinion if you want to eat them back or not. I usually eat some back, or loads back if my day was like Saturday!
(Ignore my Sunday, I was trying to make up my weekly deficit! And not in a good way!)
Just listen to your body. If you're hungry, eat. Don't force yourself.0 -
Think about using them up over the course of a week. Weekly totals enable you to go over some days, and under on others. This is called zig zagging and keeps your metabolism going. Well done0

I agree; don't eat just for the sake of eating if you're really not hungry. I often find that I have a 'hungry' day a day or two after a lot of exercise, which is when I eat a bit more. As long as it evens out over the week I don't think you can go too far wrong.0

Why don't you ignore everyone elses advice as what works for them might not work for you. The only way to know if eating them back will stop weight loss is to try it. Do an experiment. Try a couple of weeks of eating them all back and see what happens weight wise. At worst you will probably maintain, at best you will still lose. Bonus!! You might be able to lose weight and eat far more than you thought. Losing weight doesn't have to equal being hungry all the time.0
