Hey all! Any ideas for easy meals that don't need to be kept cold? I have LONG days at school Mondays and Wednesdays (over 10 hours), and need a good filling lunch that I can just keep in my bag or my car. I know there's salad and sandwiches I can make, but I need a little more variety in my life.
Ideas??? TIA!

You can buy food flasks and they keep stuff hot for a good few hours so that you could take soup??0

There's no kitchen at my work so no fridge or microwave. I've taken to bringing a Thermos flask of hot soup with a sandwich, bread and butter or Ryvita to make my lunch more substantial and satisfying.0

My husband has a lunch bag with an ice pack. He works 14 hour days and it keeps his food cold for about 10 hours. You can also freeze water bottles and put them in an insulated lunch bag for the same effect, plus then you have bottled water for later!0

I've found that grilled meats (chicken breast, beef, veal) don't suffer from being kept at room temperature for a few hours.0

Tuna pasta salad...as long as its not too warm where it's kept!0

Aw, but animals are tastier when they are still babies . . .
Edit: I actually really like working with veal shoulder. It's relatively low in fat, but still tender enough to eat.0 -

The last time I had veal, I didn't like it... But I think part of that was due to the fact that a) I was 10, and b) the recipe went wrong and we ended up ordering pizza lol0
