Next Tuesday is pancake day, so I'd like to make pancakes.
Does anyone have any suggestions of high protein toppings I can put on top of the pancakes?
so far all i can think of is
cottage cheese
soysage
quorn bacon
peanut butter? (maybe mixed with some chocolate for the dessert pancake.)
Please don't suggest adding protein to the pancake batter as I'll be making some buttermilk pancakes to share with hubby who doesn't eat protein powder. (the actual pancake recipie is fixed)
also I'm espeicailly after vegetarian options.

Greek yogurt!
The chobani cups are flavoured with 'fruit' on the bottom. Strawberry would be yummy.
Vanilla fat free greek yogurt with berries on top is what I would do.
Tons of sugar though.0 -
cottage cheese
please OP dont do It

Any nut butter (almond, cashew, peanut).
Nuts and dried fruit - like walnuts and raisin pancakes
Someone already mentioned Greek Yogurt
Edit: Greek Yogurt Chocolate Sauce? I am sure there's got a be a recipe somewhere for that online....0 -
Sausages come to mind.
eta: sorry, didn't see the vegetarian bit. I'd say greek yogurt in that case.0 -

Low fat ricotta cheese mixed with vanilla and a teensy bit of sugar. Would be like a blintz filling. Yum! Do that along with fresh berries. Strawberries or raspberries are my fave but you could do blueberries too.0

Add protein powder to your pancake mix, and then use whatever toppings you normally would.0
