When you start to loose weight..does the calorie intake adjust on its own? Or do we need to change it with every lost or gain?

you mean your goal? Every 10 lbs MFP reminds you to redo your goals. that seems like a reasonable amount to me. It won't automatically adjust for you though.0

But it does remind you? I'm just wondering like all together ive lost 3 pounds so far(HA not much) so i didnt know if i should adjust the 3 pounds and see if my cal goal changes.0 -
Every time I weigh in, I just re-check it to make sure it's not changing. If it were to change, that would be okay.0

Well another question. If you loose 5 pounds..would you calorie goal go up or down?0

As you lose weight, you burn less calories because your body can do it easier...so as you lose weight, you'll have to eat more because you'll have to work harder to burn more. I think. :laugh:0

As you lose weight, your calorie intake should go down. I am with arielle, every time I weigh, regardless of up or down on the scales, I update the weight in the "Goals" section just to make sure that my calories update accordingly.0

MFP has already set your calorie goals as low as you are going to go...they will not put you below 1200 -- so you wont have to redo, reset anything...0

It makes more sense that it would go down because as you lose more weight, you're getting closer to maintainance and won't need to restrict your calories so much because you're not trying to lose as much as before... but you will have to work harder in exercise because you won't burn as easily.0
