My little victory!!

I started on this journey only 20 days ago, apprehensive, unknowing, and even a little afraid. I am not looking to lose a great deal of weight, about 20lbs or so and then I guess decide from there if I should lose more.
I was getting a little frustrated when I am here logging my food and working out and to me I could see no change what so ever:cry:

Especially when I come to this forum and I see people losing 5lbs in one week and so on. First week I lost 1, second week 1, next week none, next week none. Feeling frustrated I log in everyday still and you guys never cease to encourage me, weather I say I am down or not and guide me on my calories and finding foods that will boost my calories and not my sugar or sodium etc.

And today  today I am getting ready for work, (I have never told my boyfriend how I was feeling a bit discouraged about not seeing a change, and he always tries to encourage me to log etc) and he says, hun I can see a big difference in your tummy though and one of your love handles has gone!! You are doing well keep it up:love::flowerforyou:

I am excited and motivated to keep it up until I am who I want to be when I look in the mirror. I am excited today about my little victory!

Thank you everyone for the daily encouragement and for your brute honesty in your success stories.

I LOVE MFP!!!

That's amazing! Congratulations on this little victory and many more to come! :)

    It's all about baby steps.
  • I feel the same way. The scale has hardly budged, but getting ready yesterday with my hubby in the room telling me that I am looking hot made me happier than ever and blew new wind in my sails to keep at it. #'s don't matter, it's your health and the overall way you feel. I am not a small girl, all the women in my family are very muscular, so I have to get use to the fact that I will not be super model thin and embrace the fact that seeing those muscles is what I want and just who I am,

Good luck! Rooting for you and for all with a similar story, journey and goal.
