Evening dilemma

Hey everyone! So I'm really tired of coming home every night and just watching tv with my husband until we get tired. Most nights I don't get home from work until after 8:00 and my husband gets home around 6. Normally when I roll in he's already had a drink or two and is sitting on the couch watching something on tv. He's not a sports fanatic or gamer and we generally try and decide on something to watch together, but I just feel like there's something better we could be doing with our time then sitting around, drinking, and snacking... Any suggestions?

Go for a walk, do you have a dog you could both take for a walk?0

Three prior suggestions are excellent ones. Read something that you found interesting aloud to each other.? (mind you I have never found the man that'll do this...just a fantasy)0

Bored at 27? Just break up. :brokenheart:
Huh. I have three kids, so unless we spent a lot of money for a babysitter, we're stuck home. If I didn't have the kids, I'd be Out Doing Stuff All The Damn Time.
Eat out at a new place! Dance! Crash an art exhibit and wearing stupid hipster clothes and be ironic right back to them. Go to the gym! Night skiing. Go to the movies! See a local band. Join a local band. Go to a comedy club! Go to bar and play pool or trivia with friends!
But I think the real problem might be he isn't suggesting anything fun to do...0 -
You could always get on MFP and flirt with "us".
Or...rediscover the commonalities that brought you guys together in the first place.0 -
Make sweet, passionate, conjugal-style love0

We got out a few nights a week for open mics. Also spend time renovating our house or grocery shopping. We try to make the work week go-go-go with chores so the weekend is relaxing.
Also go for a run a few nights a week!0 -

Agree, especially if you don't have kids..... this is prime time to explore your sexuality and spice things up!!0 -
If you're asking what I'd do with you when you got home, I'd be happy to show you. However, this is a discussion you should probably have with your husband.0

Wow guys! Certainly wasn't looking for all of that. Really just trying to think of things we haven't done already and I'm perfectly content and happy in my relationship. I am married to the most wonderful man!0

@LMT2012, we do actually read aloud to each other on occasion so apparently men like that do exist. We don't have a dog, but we have a cat that plays fetch. We go out to eat way too often. We live in suburbia and other than restaurants and bars there's not a whole lot to do after 8:30 on weekdays. Even old standbys like bowling and iceskating aren't open to the public in my area at night except on weekends.0
