To those who are gaining weight while dieting and exercizing

I am by no means a know-it-all but I do know that it is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE to gain FAT while eating less than your BMR and exercising. So if you experience weight gain within your first weeks of working out it is most likely water weight because your muscles have torn and absorb water like a sponge. My best advice would be to take body measurements instead of the scale. I'm new to this, but if I am wrong please correct me..
I have been a member of MFP for a while but just started taking it seriously this last week. I noticed when I stepped on the scale this morning that I had gained 2 lbs. from 2 days ago and I KNEW that I hadn't consumed 7000 calories, so for those of you who want to know why you are gaining weight while working out and eating below your BMR, it's just water! Other factors that lead to weight gain are: stress, sleep, medication, and genetics from what I read. This is meant to be a motivational post, so keep it up guys!
