Fabulous 50's help and motivation!

Hi! I've read several message board subjects and decided to write my own!

Let me introduce myself. I am married with children and 3 granddaughters! I'm in my early 50's, 5'4" and current weight at 185. I lost 18 pounds last year starting in April and as i always do, get to that point and my weight comes to the ugly plateau. I am not talking about a few days or even a few weeks, I'm talking months! That has a way of discouraging me to stay with the new routine and find myself after about 3-4 months, giving up!

I am in pretty good health. I don't feel like at my age, that I can start right up with PX90 and some of the medium-hard exercise programs. Time is my biggest issue. I work a full time job and am a part time musician/accompanist.

My biggest motivation for weight loss, is of course my health and looking better. I want to take care of myself for my future aging process. I also have a beach vacation scheduled in May, and a cruise scheduled in November! I want to do this!!!

What have your experiences been with weight loss, exercise and motivation tactics? Share ideas, tips, etc., and maybe together we can all help each other!

Peace & Love ya'll~

  • Hi, we're the same height and gender and about the same weight, but I'm heavier and a little younger!

Care to share your weightloss plan? Calorie deficit, exercise, etc? I'm currently around 200lbs, I hope to be your weight hopefully soon!

For me I'm going for around 2000 calories a day, but I've been eating below that the last few days. I just started about 2 weeks ago. I've lost about 5lbs in that time by just switching from a diet of pop, chips, and fast food to getting my calories from nutritious meals.

    Good luck!
