Brief introduction

Hi everyone,

I joined MFP about a month ago, when I discovered that some of my health issues might be related to a wheat/gluten allergy. I decided to try eliminating all gluten from my diet, but wanted a way to make sure that I was still eating a balanced enough diet. Later attempts to eat things containing wheat, even in small quantities, showed an effect on my system. Definitely a gluten sensitivity, if not an outright allergy.

I also decided that while I was here, I'd take a stab at losing some of the weight I haven't been able to keep off. I did a program for a while, but I was hungry constantly and when I stopped the weight I had lost just came right back.

I figured that there had to be a better way. I'm hoping this is it!

My primary motivation for weight loss is that I'm getting married in June. Beyond that I want to be healthier, more active, and hopefully avoid some of the late-onset stuff that runs in my family.
