Hello all. I just started here at MFP last week and thought I'd introduce myself. I live in the Dallas, Texas area and recently decided it was time to lose some weight and get back to being more fit. I have been pretty athletic most of my life but have really let things slide the past couple of years. About a week ago I had to climb a ladder and was huffing, puffing and wheezing from the exertion and so that led me to decide that it was time to drop some weight and start getting active again. My initial goal is to lose 30 pounds. I use to run competively and want to start running again. At 206 pounds, I don't want to subject my joints to the punishment of running with 30 extra pounds and so want to get back to a healthier weight.
