I hurt my shoulder last Tuesday in the bootcamp and I haven't worked out since then. The muscle is still very sore. I am tempted to not work out till it gets better ( prevention is better than cure). But looks like it may take weeks.

Any advice on the kind of exercises that can be done in the meanwhile? I don't belong to a gym and it is snowing outside.

I used to go to the botocamp 3 times a week for 1 hour.

Go to bootcamp and make modifications to the exercises that seem to bother that shoulder. A good trainer should be able to give you alternate exercises. I've done a bootcamp for 3 years (like you 3x a week for an hour). I was in a car accident about 2 years ago that has left me with pain in my right trapezius/shoulder off and on since. Even when the shoulder doesn't hurt there are certain exercises I won't do because I know from experience that they will make my shoulder hurt. I do lunges instead of bear crawls, etc. There are tons of exercises in bootcamp that won't bother your shoulder - squats, lunges, running, sprints, ab work, etc. You don't want to stop working the other parts of your body just because of one area.
  • Thanks for the motivation. Looks like it will take a while to heal.
