Okay. It is done. I broke down and bought my first minimalist shoes online today. I ordered the New Balance Minimus Zero Trail (MT00). Anyone using this shoe now? If so, what do you think about them?

  • I've been running a year now with the Saucony Hattoris. Will run my second marathon with them in a couple of weeks. It took me about 6 month to fully adjust to the zero drop profile. I strongly recommend you start with low mileage and only gradually increase. I found that if I put too many miles on too early with the profile my feet would hurt/injure.

I'd like to hear how they work for you. I haven't picked up a pair because the local stores don't carry wide widths and the standard width isn't wide enough for me.
I've ended up with the semi-minimalist GoRuns and now GoTrails because of the wide toe box. I'd like to go more minimalist but seems anything else wide enough is just ridiculously priced.
