I'm new.
I was wondering what are some things I could do to help raise my metabolism. I figure, if I can help raise that a little bit then i'll be able to help myself lose the weight I want to lose.

The best piece of advice I can give you is to eat almost constantly. I eat 5 or 6 small meals a day and my body never has a chance to be hungry. It keeps my blood sugar level from peaking and valleying, which cuts down on cravings.
Also, be sure to start off every day with a good breakfast. Ideally, breakfast should be the largest meal you eat all day. Your body needs fuel to replace what it burned repairing and resting your body while you slept.0 -
Really good advice from Rob. I'm trying to get back to doing the small meals a day. I also have been having bigger breakfasts and lunches and smaller dinners. You work off more calories during the day than you do at night.0

green tea boost metabolism. as does drinking ice water (your body has to heat it up before it can do anything with it). other than that, proteins make you feel full longer. i do not participate in the small meals. i eat 3 times a day on a pretty set schedule (but i work nights too- and have to or else i want to eat starburst ALL NIGHT LONG) keep your sodium low so you wont retain, and cutting out soda and juice will usually help you lose faster.. thats about all ive got oh and celery is a negative calorie food0
