did i see the BL contestants doing cleans with 225? doesnt that seem like a lot for 6 weeks

    I don't watch that show...I just had to come in here for the term "power cleanse" That's great.

    They're probably 5-10 pound bumper plates.

    so chances are they're doing 85 pound cleans at best.

    youtube would be the best way to figure it out.

    essentially you move a barbell from the ground to the rack position on your front delts.

    I doubt they are using anywhere close to 225. As a former competitive lifter, even at my strongest doing cleans with 225 was a challenge. I was deadlifting near 600lbs and benching mid 400's at the time. It is a very technical lift that requires a lot of practice and you need to use excellent form. It's all about explosiveness when you are moving a lot of weight with it.

    And one week on BL is actually 2 to 3 weeks of real time so they've been there 3 to 4 months now.

    still not gonna be cleaning 225.


    I suck at cleans, but I've been lifting for 2+ years and only clean around 185-195.
