Hi all, I'm new to counting calories and have a question. MyFitnessPal is obviously telling me how many calories I have consumed during the day and how many I have left. Now, if I go to the gym and burn off a few calories then this is deducted from my total calorie intake and I understand that but obviously everyone burns calories whilst just sitting, do I need to add how long I've been sitting for or is the calculated as part of my daily calories?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.

This site seems pretty good at explaining and helping you figure it out, I had the same problem and this is what I used. :-)

^^ This website helps you calculate your BMR and TDEE, and it tells you how many calories you should eat based on your goal (step 6).

If you go into Goals, it has it all broken out for you by what you put in as your usual daily activity, how much you plan on exercising, etc. It calculates how many calories you burn during the day. Check there under "GOALS"0
