Hi All,
I'm a newbie to MFP and am finding this an incredible site and community. I had a severe flare of RA Rheumatoid Arthritis this past October along with severe Anemia. Needless to say I put on pounds and inches that I and my wardrobe could not afford. The weight came on quickly from the prednisone, along with insatiable appetite, a love for cooking & baking, all the comfort food during the cold holiday months and my general lack of energy. Extra weight was not a welcome friend in any way shape or form. It exacerbated the issues with my joints.

Finally my RA is under control again (only rare slight flareup) and I am receiving iron infusions monthly. I quickly decided it was time to do something about the extra inches in preparation for my husbands 20th High School class reunion. Luckily I have friends who are supporting me in this by joining me in this endeavor AND then I found MFP giving me additional community support and a user friendly interface that makes it easy to track my food and exercise. I am sure I can reach my goals with the support I am now receiving. I'm so happy to not be doing this alone.

Sorry to hear about your RA.

    But welcome to MFP.

I absolutely love it. I am sort of new too - started 4 weeks ago.

I can't believe I have logged all my food for 4 weeks, but it is easy. You can do it.

    Good luck to you.

:flowerforyou: Thank you babyteine and Tammy-Girl for your support and good wishes. I was shocked to even find replies to my post. I love this site!!!! You guys rock. I wish you both the best on reaching your goals. It's really surprising how easy it is to use this site. I may be more addicted to this than that horrible time drain Facebook.
