Metabolic Reset?

I'm pretty confused about all these numbers and trying to figure out what I should be doing.
My BMR is 1461 and my TDEE is 2521
so in order for me to loose a bit of weight I am supposed to consume 2000 cal a day.

On a normal day, I only get in about 1100-1400 tops, even if I eat 6 meals, which means I've been eating below my BMR for, life basically. SO now if I start to eat 2000 calories a day, wouldn't that be a metabolism reset and I'll end up gaining weight before I start losing? And if so how long can this go on for? I strength train 4x a week and I do intense cardio the other 2 days, I'm about to start a new routine made for me so I can't really afford to be gaining fat back right now.

I'm just pretty confused in how much I should be eating. Any help would be appreciated.
