exercising without your feet...

...okay, maybe just exercises you can do off your feet.
The story thus far; I've got a wicked callous/blood blister combo going on with my big toe, and being diabetic, this can be mildly serious. Anywho, my doc wants me to stay off of my feet as much as possible, like he doesn't even want me walking around work for my job, stay off my feet. Well to hell with that noise, but I guess I should try and stay off my feet as much as possible, or at least cut down any exercise that involves the old tootsy.
So, I can't afford a gym or a bike, I can't walk and definitely can't jog. I can't jump rope (there goes the 3 bucks I spent on a new rope right before this!) and even some exercises put too much strain/pressure on it (I judge this by the amount of blood in my do-it-yourself toe bandage I change daily), like planks, squats, pushups, etc...pretty much anything that you need balance with your foot to accomplish or may push off of.
so going through my limited knowledge of workouts and exercises, I've got sitting lifts and curls, situps/crunches or one-legged planks (though I can't do these for long enough to have any real effect I'm thinking, and I definitely can't squat my big *kitten* with just one leg).
So, what are some other things I can do to compensate, until this thing heals or I just get tired of it and just go for the peg, and then the follow up question; what exercises can I do with a peg leg.

If you have digital cable see if there are any pilates videos on demad. It may not boost your calorie burn but will keep you moving. I loved pilates when I first started because it was the workout you could do laying down...that being said it is no joke!0
