Ladies...please, help me in the debate...

When putting on your unmentionables...do you clasp, twist, arms, adjust or arms, adjust, clasp...or some combination in between?

    What, my bra?
I put the straps on, adjust the cup and clasp. Then adjust the cup again. A bra-fitter at a lingerie store had to show me how to do it after we found out I'd apparently been putting my bra on 'wrong' for years.
  • uh? I just put on the damn thing... arms, cup, clasp. And make sure my girls are comfy inside the bra

I clasp, twist, arms, adjust. Although I'm pretty sure the "right" way to do it is to put arms through first, fix cups, clasp, and adjust.

Pretty sure there isn't a right way to do it.

I clasp swing around and put the straps on and hope to dear god they stay in there
  • you are supposed to put it on, over the arms, clasp the back in the back, then adjust.
This is the "proper" way, better for the bra and you apparently.

I cannot for the life of me fasten it in the back no matter what i do, despite being in the bra business.

I clasp it in the front, turn it around.

I have seen some very very odd ways of putting it on though in my job!

Clasp in front, twist it around the right way, one arm in, then the other, then I make sure the underwire is really under my boobs, give them a little shake and I'm done!

Clasp and spin. Unless it's a front clasp, of course.

Oh God... bras. Most days I just don't.
I tend to go with the clasp and twist method, but I'd be very interested if someone would explain why the other way is "better for me and my bra."

    I attach the clasp first

    ZOOM the bra around

Protect and Defend with the cups

aaand get the holster straps settled around my arms.

    Ready for Action now!!!:glasses:

The reason "they" say clasping in front and twisting around your body is 'worse' for your bra is because it can cause undue stress on the elastics of the band.

couldn't say for sure, but it is the method taught by all decent bra fitters/sellers

at a guess, i would say the bra will last longer being clasped in the back as it will stretch more and endure more wear and tear constantly being twisted.
same way you aren't supposed to machine wash them, though just about everyone does!

There's a right and wrong way to put on a bra? Seriously? Everyone ought to be lucky I have one on... let alone how it got there-lol!! As longs as my boobs are not flopping around then all is good.
