Hello All!

I never ever follow recipes, I just tend to throw things together. So this should be an easy one to follow.

Prepare time : 15- 20 mins.

Step One : cook/boil 2 cups of chickpeas until soft (if dried). I did use dried for this.

Step Two: chop up one onion & caramelize in frying pan.

Step Three: Add however much minced garlic you'd like to onions. I used 2 cloves. Cook for 2-3 mins

Step Four: Add everything in the food processor along with 3oz of oil (I used Almond, Olive & Grapeseed) & 1 1/2 cup of water & 2-4 squirts of concentrated lemon juice

Step 5 : Blend it all together, adding more oil & water if needed.

Optional : hot sauce - few splashes will do

Step 6 : Add 2 table spoons of Maca Powder while processor is still spinning.

Thats all! It adds an added layer of flavour, giving the hummus a kind of nutty flavour to it. Taste great & makes about 1.5L. Go easy on it if you're counting calories b/c Chickpeas pack a punch!
