walking dog

Hi!

I'm trying to put some execises I've done this week end in ly diary. I've chosen walk, mod. pace, walking dog. Then they ask 'how long". Do you reply in minutes? I'm not English and a bit confused about the mph etc so it's possile I don't understand :)

    Yes, how many minutes did you walk.

    Yes, they mean how long in minutes. The mod. pace walking dog is about 3 miles per hour.

    My dog stops a lot (she's part beagle and sniffs EVERYTHING) so I use my heart rate monitor or a walking app on my phone to track distance vs. time to get my actual mph.

    I clip on a pedometer (my iPod has one built in) when I walk the dogs to get a better idea of distance/calorie burn/etc. My dogs are a beagle and a Jack Russell, so it's a lot of stop and go with one while the other tugs my arms out of the socket, LOL.

    LOL my dog is beagle/jack russel mix and she does both stopping to sniff and pulling like a husky! Gotta love our dogs :)
