So, I went over my points big time today because we ate at the in-laws. Now, I did my darndest to work off those extra calories I had. I went over 396 Calories! So, I worked my *kitten* off and burned 249 Calories. So I am still 147 Calories over. I am beat...So my question. How many calories over is too many calories over? I'm at 1200 Calories. Wanting to lose 2 lbs a week. Will this day screw my week over? Help?

I'm going to suggest that you would be more successful if you set your loss at 1 pound a week and increased your calories a bit. This doesn't have to be so hard.

Try not to be too focused on the numbers. You did great and worked off some extra calories, so be proud of the work you did. Get some good rest and have a better day tomorrow. Slow and steady wins the race.

Thank you. I probably am stressing out about it too much. I just want this so bad. I've been overweight too long from having kids and just want my body back. =/

Also, remember that you continue to burn calories faster after working out than if you hadn't.

150 calories is nothing. Just carry on.

Now I have been 900 calories over before and then I just eat at about 300 under TDEE for three days and voila! All I have done is maintain for four days. The next day I just carry on as usual.

pretty much what both of them said. set your goal a little higher and aim to get under it instead of hitting it dead on so like set your goal at 1500 and aim to get under it. not only does it make you feel less guilty for going over 1200 but it feels awesome to see your calories in the green :p

Thank you all very much. This has made me feel much better. I have been working out everyday. Giving myself usually those extra 200 Calories anyway setting me up to 1500. I was just a little upset that I wasn't within my 100 Calorie either way thing I was trying to keep up. =P But, you have all insured me that I am doing good with what I've got. So, I'll keep on, keepin' on. =) Thank you all for the support. It means so much!
