Overhydrating???

I read in a Men’s Health Magazine, in an article that was contributed to by a urologist, that your urine should be the color of straw. If it’s darker you are dehydrated and if it’s too light or clear, you’re overhydrated. On days when I drink 8+ cups of water, my urine is clear as water by late in the day. So does that mean that my body doesn’t need that much water?
I should add that I am a woman, not a man and i don't know if that makes a difference. Also, I'm not worried that it's causing a problem, I just don't like to drink a lot water and only do it because I have to.

I've heard if it's clear you're doing just fine. I've heard of over hydration, never known someone who has suffered from it...0

yyyyeah.... I'm not sure I'd worry about being overhydrated...
I'm a big proponent of the CPC0 -
If I drink enough for my pee to be consistently clear, I get headaches, salt cravings and other symptoms of over hydration.0

Pee color is the way to tell if you are hydrated enough. Randomly choosing X number of cups or ounces per day as a blanket statement is pretty useless. This thread has a color chart for reference that the US military uses:
