For what it's worth, an HRM is crap at measuring calories accurately when you're just sitting or moving about doing daily things. If you want accurate calories for a 24-hour period, get a FitBit or BodyMedia. They're designed to track heart rate, etc during a variety of activities, even sleep.0

HRMs are not designed to be worn all day to figure out your TDEE. You need a FitBit or something similar to do that.0

An HRM is only designed to track heart rate changes during steady state cardio. For anything else it is absolutely useless.0

Well I did not know that.
For what its worth, is looking to be spot on with my calculations, oh well thanks for that!0 -
What everyone above said about HRM, but I still think your goal of 1700 total calories is likely a good target for weight loss.0

I think its really sad that these forums do turn that way.0 -

Nobody was rude... We were all just explaining that HRMs aren't accurate for tracking 24 hours. If anything, we were trying to help the OP.0 -

I don't think the comment was necessarily intended for those who responded, just a general statement about the forums in general and potential for it to get nasty. Which is sadly so very true.0 -
That's all I was saying. I'm terrified of being virtually lynched on here like some people are. Not my bag baby.0
