Veggie food quiz...

I used to :heart: quizes on Myspace. I found this on a blog somewhere and thought it was fun for MFP. Copy and paste and put in your answers.

1. Favourite non-dairy milk?
I was never a milk drinker, but I do love Almond milk on my cereal.

2. What are the top 3 dishes/recipes you are planning to cook?
I'm looking forward to a nice aisan stir-fry this weekend, I'm also in the mood for a veggie soup, and I'm dieing to try Ellens Vegan Chili nachos.

3. Topping of choice for popcorn?
I can't eat popcorn anymore, :( But I usaed to LOVE LOVE LOVE hot sauce on my popcorn, yumm!

4. Most disastrous recipe/meal failure?
LOL, where to begin. Every masterpiece of mine started as a failure.

5. Favourite pickled item?
pickles, I'm eating one right now. And beets with hummus, yumm.

6. How do you organise your recipes?
LOL, I have a family recipe binder that has pockets. They are stuffed with random recipies. I also have multiple files on my computer, but I never know what I'm going to get when I open them if I can find them.

7. Compost, trash, or garbage disposal?
I'd like to compost, but this craphole I live in has rules against stuff like that.

8. If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 3 foods…what would they be (don’t worry about how you’ll cook them)?
Hmmm, I'm assuming the island will be aplenty with fruits. So I'd say hummus, veggies, and chocolate.

9. Fondest food memory from your childhood?
Honestly, the hot fudge cake at Big Boy. For some reason it tasted so good. Today just thinking about it makes me want to vomit.

10. Favourite vegan ice cream?
I'm not much of an ice cream fan. The Rice Dream Bites are pretty darn good though.

11. Most loved kitchen appliance?
Blender

12. Spice/herb you would die without?
Garlic baby!

13. Cookbook you have owned for the longest time?
Probably one of the pampered chef ones.

14. Favourite flavour of jam/jelly?
Strawberry!

15. Favourite vegan recipe to serve to an omni friend?
Nobody will eat my stuff, so screw you all!

16. Seitan, tofu, or tempeh?
None. I'm not a buyer of the protien myth anymore. I do some faux meats but I usually steer more towards nuts, lentils, & beans.

17. Favourite meal to cook (or time of day to cook)?
It doesn't matter. I don't really go by specific meals anymore. I used to love breakfast. Now I could care less. I'll eat whatever I feel like at any time, except within 3 hours of bedtime. Left over steamed broccoli first thing in the AM, GOOD!

18. What is sitting on top of your refrigerator?
So many things, its just not right, lol

19. Name 3 items in your freezer without looking.
Berries, waffles, Rice Dream.

20. What’s on your grocery list?
Hummus. I need to go get that now, this quiz is making me hungry.

21. Favourite grocery store?
At the moment, Whole Foods

22. Name a recipe you’d love to veganize, but haven’t yet.
This chicken and biscuit casserole I used to make, or the south beach diet no pasta lasagna veggie lasagna.

23. Food blog you read the most.
I don't. But I do love MFP!

24. Favourite vegan candy/chocolate?
Haven't ventured there just yet, but the chocolate chips are pretty darn good!

25. Most extravagant food item purchased lately?
The gluten free veggie spicy korean from Pei Wei. Exciting, I know.

26. Ingredients you are scared to work with?
Hemp flour, nori, and greens.

    Silk Light Chocolate. Although I've heard rave reviews about Almond Milk

    2. What are the top 3 dishes/recipes you are planning to cook?
    ummm.....I just ate dinner and haven't thought that far ahead

    3. Topping of choice for popcorn?
    Cayenne & Garlic Powder. With just a dash of salt

    4. Most disastrous recipe/meal failure?
    I try to erase those memories from my mind :)

    5. Favourite pickled item?
    Dill pickles. Followed closely by asparagus and green beans

    6. How do you organise your recipes?
    Well, my *intentions* are to get them all in a neat little binder with little tabs that separate them into sections. But, right now they can be found pretty much all over my house.

    7. Compost, trash, or garbage disposal?
    Trash. Yeah, I know, I know

    8. If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 3 foods…what would they be (don’t worry about how you’ll cook them)?
    Honeycrisp apples, cucumbers and garlic bread pretzel bites

    9. Fondest food memory from your childhood?
    My grandmothers homemade cinnamon applesauce. YUM!

    Never had any

    Food processor

    Only one I've had is tofu and I'm not a fan

    I like cooking in the afternoon-evening. Favorite thing to cook? I like complicated things for some reason.

    Burned Alfredo sauce

    Green Olives

    Wish I knew how to compost properly. I do recycle though

    Fresh fruit. Cupboards are well stocked at the moment

    Wegmans

    I think at this point I've veged just about every recipe I would have wanted to from my past

    Not a blog but I read Vegetarian Times Magazine every month

    candy canes( do those count, they never had animal products, just sugar and peppermint oil)

    25. Most extravagant food item purchased lately?
    Chipotle chili powder. A bit expensive, but a little goes a long way and it's delicious!

    Flax seed, Kasha, collards(but only because the only time I ever bought them there was a huge slug in the bunch!!!).

    Blasphemy. Milk does a body good.

    -Got Moose Chili in a crock pot right now.
    -Making Stuffed French Toast for my wife and her sister on Sunday (Stuffed with ricotta cheese and strawberries)
    -Steaks on the BBQ tomorrow

    Butter

    Tangerine and Ginger sauce.

    Don't have a vegan recipe. Eat bagged salad and stay out of my kitchen.

    BBQ. Love the whole process from the preparation; tending the coals, grilling the food. Love the cigar and Jack Daniels too.

    Tofu stirfry, cornmeal muffins, whole wheat chocolate cup cakes (birthday party this weekend)

    Salt and cayanne

    Haven't had any (thank goodness)

    Roasted root vegetables or Couscous with edamame and dill

    I love tofu...I rarely eat seitan or tempeh.

    I don't have a fave. I do enjoy baking on the weekends.
