Calorie Allowance

Options
Hi Guys,

Wonder if anyone can give me a little advice. I am still trying to get my Bodyfat down and weight but I would not consider myself fat anymore. The idea is I want to be 10-12% and build a decent physique. Almost at 14% now and on diet cals of 1630 per day + excercise.

I was thinking of eating Maintenance Cals on work out days + Excercises. The idea is to start trying to build some muscle but not to many cals to put fat back on. My idea is to slowly build some extra muscle to help burn more fat.

Any thought or suggestions on if this is a bad idea?

P.S Plus this is to stop me going crazy on a diet 24/7 lol

From what I understand, it's impossible to gain muscle mass and not gain fat, you'll gain both at the same time. So, people where you are tend to cycle between bulk and cut phases. I would suggest eating at least at maintenance and lift heavy. True bulk phases eat at a surplus. Make sure you get plenty of protein.

Also, check out this group as there are a ton of people who know more about this than me:
