Brownie Trifle

brownie mix
1 can black beans, pureed
3 - 8 oz containers Cool Whip Free
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
5 medium sized bananas, sliced

Mix pureed black beans with brownie mix, and bake per brownie instructions.

When brownies have baked and cooled, cut brownies into 3/4" squares.
Layer ingredients in a large bowl, in whatever fashion you prefer. (i.e. brownies, cool whip, strawberries, cool whip, bananas, cool whip, making sure to top with cool whip, and make a pretty design on top, if you like, with strawberries and bananas. :n)

(I know the black beans and brownies sounds crazy, but it's so nice!)

Ladyofivy, have you actually tasted these brownies with the black beans in them? I ask this because I have two books with lower fat recipes and there are a couple of recipes made with the black beans. The recipes look good, but I do not like black beans to begin with and I am just wondering if you taste it or if it is for softness? I am trying to get myself over the fact that it says black beans and try one of these recipes but have not been able to yet. I have another recipe that I would like to try that is made with a couple TBSP of baby food prunes. So, I just wanted your opinion on the actual taste of these! Thanks
