Weight Loss per week

I have a quesiton for all those out there. I started out needing to lose 85 pounds. I lost about 5 pounds a week for the first month. This past week I lost only 2. I stilll was working out and eating right. For those who have gone through this before, should I expect to only be losing 2 a week from now on? Or do these things just happen and I shouldn't feel discouraged as next week I can lose another 5 pounds? I know our bodies go through changes and I know that 5 pounds a week seems a lot, but I am working very hard to lose the weight as quickly and as healthy as possible. I am a little discouraged but wanted to hear from some people who have ghone through this. Thanks!

Nothing about weight loss is linear! But yes, generally it will slow down. I'm to the point where I only lose 2-4 lbs a month. Just keep going, if your weight is going down then it's going in the right direction!0

And, the more you have to lose, the faster it will come off in the beginning. 2lbs a week is nothing to balk at. That is fantastic.0 -
As I get closer to goal it has slowed down. I started at about 2lbs a week, then down to 1.5, then 1 and now about. .5 or less. Just remember that any loss is a good loss!0

The first 2-4 weeks of weight loss is when you will lose the most significant weight. After that, you will lose less. It is not healthy to lose more than 2lbs a week. I am just as impatient so I can understand what you are going through. Hang in there, you can do this.0
