Okay, so who can tell me, how in the heck do we not go over in the sugar category??? Should we not be concered about sugar, I mean 2 fruits per day pretty much blows it in the sugar category. If Im trying to eat clean or natural, that counts out sugar free snacks that are processed so WTF?? Does it even matter as long as the sugar comes from Nature????

TELL ME ABOUT IT! lol. i go over my sugar just about everyday just by eating two pieces of fruit. So i just skip anything with added sugar- got used to drinking my coffee with just milk. Many people will say natural sugar is fructose and doesnt count but i count it.0

Unless there's a reason for you to worry about sugar, don't bother. I recommend not even tracking it unless you have reason to. Worry about total cals, fats and protein.0

All you have to do is search on sugar. There's plenty of topics about it. Long story short, don't worry about natural sugars, such as fruit. Worry about added sugar.0

Meh, I am not concerned about it since my source of sugar is from fresh fruits. It has not hindered my weight loss at all. It isnt like I go over a butt ton, but I dont 'count' my sugar like I do calories.0

Yeah don't worry about that RED sugar number, I have it EVERY DAY.
Banana's, oranges, pears, apples... these all make me go over if I have one or two.
I would only worry, if it's because you are enjoying too many oreo's, everyday.0 -
Maybe use organic coconut sugar from Navitas, I got it in the health food store, it has low glycemic, B vitamins and minerals, 1tsp is 15 calories total carbs 4g, sugars 4g, sodium 9mg0

I don't count fruit as sugar. Fruit is good for you! Won't make ya fat. I just try to eat high glycemic fruits in moderation i.e.; bananas, pineapple. Truvia and Stevia are a couple of really good sugar substitutes. I love Truvia!0

Diabetics should definitely monitor their sugar intake, regardless of source. Fruits can alter your blood sugar just as much as candy. For them, sugars are something they must keep in check.
However, those interested in weight loss need only be super strict with calories. You can be over in sugar, protein, you name it, but if your calores ae spot on, you will lose.0 -

Unless you have a medical reason (diabetes etc) don't worry about sugar. It's not the devil. I typically consume between 100 - 200 g a day of sugar. My labs are perfect. (RHR ~58, blood sugar <100, TOTAL Chol 96 (yeah 9.6.) blah blah blah)0

Keep your eye on added sugar; naturally occurring sugar is usually not what dietitians/doctors are worried about. FitnessPal doesn't differentiate between added and natural sugars, unfortunately, therefore you'll need to keep an eye on this yourself.0
