lately ive been feeling really sluggish and i have no motivation what so ever to workout. I go 10 minutes into my exercise and i stop because I'm just not feeling it. I don't know why though. Ive been working out non stop for the past month and then BAM! no motivation. The one thing though i do look forward to is yoga. So my question is, is it ok to switch my regular exercises for yoga?

I don't see any reason you can't change it up. The lack of motivation may simply be a signal that you do need to change it up. If you are looking for a strength yoga there is one I really liked "Hardbody Yoga by Tari Rose".

"No motivation" and "working out hard for past month" doing intense exercise usually equals "overtraining". Take a break and look at tweaking your routine. Sounds like it is unbalanced.

Yep, time to take a break. Do yoga for awhile if you want. You'll know when it's time to change things up again.
  • Why replace? Why not do yoga and half of your intense workout?

I love yoga I have notices such a change in my body with yoga.
Why not try a few classes then when your feeling ready you can a bit of both.
    Enjoy :)

Are you eating enough? 1200 calories per day might not be sufficient fuel to power you through a high intensity workout. Yoga is excellent, but its only part of the fitness trifecta. I would add it to your routine rather than using it as a replacement for strength training or cardio. If you haven't done yoga before, you might be surprised by how challenging it can be - especially if you take an ashtanga class.
