Net Calories

So, I have been working on eating right, and I'm doing really well, but now I am going to start adding exercises. Without exercise I never reach my calorie goal, and I'm not necessarily trying to stay under, I'm just eating healthier, and I never eat enough to go over. If I start exercising, it'll add calories that I'm suppose to eat. I'm afraid that I will only have a net of about 500 calories, and I don't want my body to go into starvation mode. Anything I can do to fix this? People have told me just to eat more or eat even if I'm not hungry, but I don't have enough food at my disposal to eat enough good calories. Should I eat something with high calories to make up? Or does that just defeat the purpose?

If you have a good idea how much you're going to be earning back in exercise calories, you can pre-plan your diary to include those extra calories. Then if you end up earning less, I tend to adjust down carbs, like have 3/4 of a cup of rice instead of 1 cup. Or if you earn more, you can have a treat. Or you can add high calorie foods like Peanut Butter if you want. Whatever you want, really. You should try to make your net calories equal or close to your goal, though.0

There are lots of "healthy" food that are high calories. Adding more olive oil to your cooking is a good way to boost calories without increasing the amount of food.
But it is okay to indulge as long as you practice moderation. Sugar is not generally a concern for most people unless you have insulin issues. Personally, I have no problems with sugar and I have a little dessert, candy, or something indulgent every day. I created a category in my diary just for that purpose. Use those calories for that less than "healthy" food that you just really love and wouldn't want to give up. Just be sure that you can manage to eat only an appropriate portion of it.0 -
That is one of my problems, and not to sure how to fix it. I eat 3 snacks a day 3 meals a day. I only eat clean food (no sugar, I make most stuff at home so no extra junk in them). If I feel "hungry" I drink water and it ends up I wasn't really hungry anyways. I don't like eating when I'm not hungry, makes me feel sick and bloated. I eat 3 meals and snacks so idk what to do about it. I am always short on my calories.0
