I was going to reccomend Tuna as well.
  • I make my own hummus from 1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed), fresh garlic, a little bit of chicken broth (low sodium), some italian seasoning, a bit of sundried tomato, and a couple teaspoons of lemon juice. It's pretty high on the protein and low on the calorie count. Can eat it with carrot sticks, pita chips, crackers or whatever...

I love cottage cheese, just wish it wasn't so full of sodium. :(

Y'all made me wanna go grab a hard-boiled egg. They're great to keep on hand! =)

Make sure to compare the packages, I found 2 brands right next to each other - one with 480 mg sodium, the other with only 360. I had decided to give up the cottage cheese due to the sodium, but finding that 'lighter' variety, I'm able to work it in.

I've found that if I buy the Purdue (don't know if anyone else makes it) ground chicken breast patties are only like 100 calories per patty. Of course, you can make the patties smaller. I usually freeze some of the patties. Another advantage (at least for me) is that for some reason it causes me to want to drink more water, which isn't a bad thing at all.

You buy the ground chicken breast and then have to make the patties. It's really not that much work at all.

I've also found these salmon burgers that are like 110 calories each.

I added 1/2 of the package of the light silken tofu to my eggs this morning. It only added 75 calories but gave me 15g of protein. It was the Nasoya -- I THINK that's something like 16oz in a package.
