Is 165g carbs a day really suitable for losing weight?

I really struggle with carbs, myfitnesspal puts my carbs at 165g a day on 1200 calorie diet. I still seem to be taking too many in but now they mostly come from fruit like apples, oranges and bananas etc. rather than cereal bars, bread, potatoes, crisps etc. And I'm scared they are hindering my weight loss. I only stick to 1 or 2 slices of wholegrain bread a day but as its all i have in tonight I am having low fat low calorie noodles for dinner and these contain 70g of carbs O_o Do you think I should try and cut the noodles out? (I don't eat them very often, its just expensive to eat chicken and fish almost everyday) Or maybe I should eat either an apple or a banana a day and not both. Should I reset my carbs amount? What fruits are cheap but low in carbs? Thanks :) Sorry for all the questions lol but I really could use some advice.

I'd advise to just try it for 3 weeks. If it doesn't work for you....no big deal. Try eating low glycemic carbs for the ones you do eat.

It isn't hindering your weight loss. Calorie deficit is what dictates weight loss, not macronutrients.

However, it may be causing you to lose lean body mass along with the fat if you aren't getting enough protein. You probably want to up your protein so it is between 0.8 and 1 g protein/lb of lean body mass to minimize muscle loss.

If you're only eating 1200 calories/day you're not going to have a lot to play with, especially if you're eating lots of carbs.

Your ticker says you've lost 14 pounds, so how is your weight loss being hindered?

Might want to make sure you're eating enough. That seems to stall/slow weight loss more often than carb intake, especially if you're talking about carbs from fruits and veggies.

You really must eat protein, just as GauchoMark said. Also make sure you're getting enough healthy fats in order to stay satiated. I concern myself much more with making sure I get enough of those two macronutrients than I do with carbs, which I keep very low. I eat around 1800-2000 calories/day, though.
