Do you take consecutive rest days? What's your schedule like or is it just whatever you feel like?

I normally walk for an hr or two every morning, and take a day off towards the end of the wk when I'm more tired, and then walk for a bit longer on Sat & Sun. I took yesterday and today off bc I was still tired by the time I normally get up to walk and figured I needed the rest and working out would only make matters worse.

I usually work out M-F and then I take the weekends off. Sometimes I will also take a day off during the week depending on how I feel. I dont think it's bad to take consecutive rest days as long as it doesn't become permanent

    What's a "rest day"?

OK, seriously. Sunday is my only scheduled rest day and even then, I walk, bike, and/or do some easy yoga. I try to listen to my body during the week and will - rarely - take a day off if I feel exceptionally sore.

I have a goal to run at least 2 miles every day this year and this morning was day 40 (I started the last 2 days of Dec.). I lift weights M,W,F as well. My goal is to get down to 165 and maintain.

I started "getting healthy" this time last year, starting weight 200. I lost 30 pounds and then gained 10 back during deer season. This year I started at 180, now i'm down to 176, new eating plan and feeling good about the year and my goals.

Wish I had known abou MFP last year, I was writing everything down to stay on track, counting calories! This is so much more detailed! I love it!
