Has your palate changed?

Are you eating different foods, especially foods that you didn't like before you started dieting? I'm making myself eat yogurt for breakfast each morning bc I either eat an unhealthy greasy breakfast from McD or Whataburger, or I don't eat breakfast at all. So, I'm just replacing that w a fruit/yogurt parfait from McD.

My palate hasn't changed. I prefer to try things that I know are better than others, so I have an open minded approach to food. However, something that has worked for me, that may help you, I eat a yogurt for breakfast with one tablespoon of chia seeds in it and it keeps me full well into lunch time. McDonalds is too tempting to just get a yogurt and you are paying $1 or more everytime you stop there. If you grab a yogurt from home you can have better yogurt options, such as greek or low-fat. My only recommendation is that you eat the Chia seeds BEFORE you brush your teeth, lol. They work because they absorb like 12x their since in liquid, so they swell in your stomach causing you to feel full. They have other benefits, but that is a good enough one for me.

    Good luck to you!

Definitely! I cut out sugar and processed foods back in July. Now, if I try something like a candy bar or piece of cake, it's just WAY too sweet, and I can't understand what I even liked about it. I get a headache almost instantly.

Processed foods are also gross--they either taste really bland or incredibly fake/salty cardboard. I just find them disgusting now.

Fruits and veggies taste a zillion times better since cutting out all that stuff! So do most other normal foods. I really appreciate all my spices, fresh herbs too. Wonderful!

Yes, but mostly not as a result of dieting. It's been notably changing the older I get. I like a lot more veggies now: green beans, collards, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions... even SOME olives. (Yes, I know some of those aren't technically vegetables in the botanical sense of the word). I also enjoy spicier food more and my tolerance for spice has increased. Conversely, food that is really super sweet that I used to love, I now merely like. I'm also a bigger fan of things that are very tart or slightly bitter. So, were as a kid I may have liked sour candy, as an adult, I equally enjoy just sucking and munching on a raw lemon.
