Sugar and belly fat

I started tracking what I eat and my exercise yesterday and already see a problem - my sugar intake is almost double what it should be and I am wondering if this is the reason for my belly fat. This morning I ate 2 cups of mixed berries (raspberry, black berry and strawberries) with 5 oz Chobani Greek vanilla 0% yogurt, 2 cups of coffee with cream and sugar. Even before the added table sugar I'm over the daily limit of what the counter says I should have. So that is making me think that sugar is the source of my belly fat because I read that somewhere.

I've been working out (this time) for over 2 years now, I can use the eliptical for an hour and have gone 1.5 hours (1,000 calories) and always wondered why I never seem to lose my gut. Thoughts? Do you agree regarding sugar being the problem. I'm not seeing so far a lot of fat in my diet (the creamer is my vice though). I would appreciate thoughts on decreasing sugar - I love my coffee though I did cut back this morning so I could decrease the amount of sugar and cream I'm using :-(

every body is different. Talk to your doctor about sensitivity to carbs or sugars(pre-diabetes?). I dunno. I was in a rut and I started to up my protien, water, weight workouts, and timing of meals and recently lost weight i'd been holding onto since July.
